NHAZCA in London for the 11th International Symposium on Field Monitoring in Geomechanics!

Organised by TC220, the 11th International Symposium on Field Monitoring in Geomechanics is part of a series of international symposia that have been held every four years since 1970 entitled ‘Field Measurements in Geomechanics‘ (www.field-monitoring.org). Since its inception, these symposia have aimed to address the field monitoring of geo-engineered structures.

The symposium will take place at Imperial College from 4-8 September and NHAZCA will be present at the event as sponsor and presenter.

The exhibition area will be open from 5 to 7 September where it will be possible to visit the NHAZCA stand where our delegate will be available to give all visitors more information about innovative solutions for the analysis and monitoring of infrastructures and natural hazards.

During the conference there will be speeches involving some members of the NHAZCA team.

  • On Sunday 4 September from 11.30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Workshop “Raising the profile of Instrumentation and monitoring within academic institutions” will be held, with Professor Paolo Mazzanti, CEO of NHAZCA, as facilitator
  • On Monday 5 September from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the “Landslides” session will be held at the Sherfield Building (Great Hall), where the presentation of the paper: PhotoMonitoring as innovative solution for landslide monitoring: the IRIS tool” (S. Romeo, A. Cosentino, M. Gaeta & P. Mazzanti)
  • On Wednesday 7th September from 11.15 am to 12.45 pm the session “Bridges and Transport Infrastructure” will be held at the Huxley Building (Lecture Theatre 340) where the paper “Geotechnical and structural monitoring during doubling of a transportation corridor: first insights and lessons learned from a dense monitoring network” will be presented (S.
